Smarter or more socialized because of the Internet?

Thesis: Due to the fast increase in technology, it has exposed many young children to the use of the Internet. In fact, it has been said that overall, eighty-four percent of U.S. households own a computer, and seventy-three percent of U.S. households have a computer with a broadband connection to the Internet. Ratings like this leads to question whether or not the Internet has helped children to be smart, or has it just increased socialization? Children use the Internet every day, but the question still remains the same, are they learning anything, or just socializing? This leads us to talk about the importance, the effects, and the impact the Internet has on children.
